Welcome to West Shore Parks & Recreation
WSPR is currently closed and all programs are cancelled until further notice.
West Shore Parks & Recreation is committed to the health and well-being of our community. Therefore, we have taken proactive measures to close facilities and put a hold on programming during this time.
For ongoing updates regarding programs, services, and facility operations, please visit this page regularly.
All swimming lessons have been cancelled until the end of April.
Families will be credited for remaining classes in the session, and will be advised by email once the credit has been applied to their PerfectMind accounts. Alternatively, upon receiving this email, families may contact reception at 250-478-8384 to request a refund. Due to the large volume of programs impacted, all lesson cancellations will be processed over the next week.
Due to the extraordinary circumstances, report cards will not be issued for in-progress lessons. Rather, each participant’s progress as of the last lesson they attended is being gathered from instructors digitally. Each participant’s status (complete, or incomplete) will be available by calling reception one week prior to registration opening for the next session of swimming lessons.
Future Programs and Registration
At this time, we cannot provide an anticipated date as to when swimming lessons may resume. Please check our website regularly for updates, including when registration will open for future programs.
CREDITS FOR OTHER CANCELLED PROGRAMS
Credits will be issued to anyone who has registered for activities affected by these closures. WSPRS staff will automatically apply the appropriate credit to your PerfectMind registration account. There is no need to contact us to cancel.
All dated passes (1 month, 3 month, Annual, Regional) will be extended by the closure length. *Monthly payments continue for passes on scheduled payments.
All rentals scheduled until the end of May have been cancelled. The bookings department will be in contact to issue a credit or refund. We will continue to update the status of any previously booked rental two weeks prior to the date of the booking. The bookings department will be in touch if your booking needs to be cancelled due to the continued closure of the facility. In the hopes that our current situation resolves quickly, we will be accepting requests for future bookings. Please feel free to send in the Request for Use form via the email submit buttons on the form and we will check availability of space for the coming months.
For any questions or concerns, please email [email protected]
We appreciate your ongoing patience and understanding as we take measures to keep everyone safe.
