Skyscanner expert explains how to use flexible travel to book with confidence for 2021

LONDON, Dec. 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Skyscanner’s US travel expert Mark Crossey today shared expert advice on how keen vacationers can use flexible travel to book future trips with confidence.

“As news of vaccines nearing readiness has broken, we’ve seen travelers turn their attention to next year. American travelers have been very engaged with the changing restrictions on travel in 2020 and are keen to get away safely within official guidance.

“Many airlines have scrapped domestic fare change fees indefinitely and extended the removal of international change fees until 2021. The emergence of truly flexible travel fares has not gone unnoticed and US travelers are taking advantage. Skyscanner has responded to these trends with a series of safer, smarter travel features to help US travelers book with confidence that they’re getting the right price, with the right added extras.

What is a flexible flight ticket?
“Generally speaking, a flexible flight ticket is one that allows for changes or cancellations without a fee, with a smaller-than-usual fee, or another condition that makes it easier for the traveler to change their plans. Many airlines have agreed to eliminate change fees altogether in response to the uncertainty the pandemic has created.

“When searching with Skyscanner’s “Flexible Ticket” option, this feature shows which airlines have changed their booking terms. The filter will only display airlines that offer flexible tickets, or hotels and car hire with free cancellation. And if you like to dot your i’s and cross your t’s, we also link directly to the airline’s booking policy so you can review all of the fine print.

“While Skyscanner will always do its best to show you the most up-to-date prices and policies, it’s important to check the terms and conditions of your specific ticket at the time of booking to ensure you’re fully briefed on the details of its change policy.”

Can I buy a plane ticket without a set date?
“You need to set a date when you book most flights. However, if you buy a flexible ticket, you can move the flight date and time until the ticket’s validity period (which is usually, but not always, one year from the date of purchase) ends.”

Which airlines are offering flexible flight tickets?
“There are several airlines offering flexible flights through the end of this year and beyond, some have even expanded their change fees and cancellation policies.

“During 2020 we have made some changes to our site and app to make it extra easy to find flexible airline tickets. Simply select the ‘Flexible tickets only’ box or toggle to show only those covered by flexible policies.”

American Airlines: “As of October 2020, American currently offers free changes and cancellation on all tickets, including Basic Economy fares booked through December 31, 2020.”

Delta Airlines: “Like American, Delta allows its customers to change, and, if necessary, refund all trips booked through the end of 2020. Additionally, Delta has extended the validity of all tickets until the end of 2022.”

United Airlines: “On their website,

‘Parks and Recreation’ Star Aubrey Plaza Explains Why Playing April’s Sarcasm Was Harder Than It Looked

Aubrey Plaza could steal scenes in Parks and Recreation with just a look, or a roll of her eyes. She nailed April Ludgate’s sarcastic dialogue too. Seven seasons of the show really defined Plaza’s persona as a sarcastic comedian, although she got to play many different types of roles in films. Now, Plaza reveals that April’s sarcasm wasn’t as natural as it appeared.

Plaza was a guest on The HFPA In Conversation podcast on Nov. 25 to discuss her new movie, Black Bear, which Showbiz Cheat Sheet reviewed at Sundance. Speaking about Parks and Recreation, Plaza explained why April’s sarcasm was such an acting challenge for her.

Aubrey Plaza says April Ludgate was not as indifferent as she appeared on ‘Parks and Recreation’

April was the perfect contrast to Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), who cared deeply about everything. But, Plaza revealed April secretly cared too.

“It’s more difficult than it looks,” Plaza said. “People think that sarcasm and indifference should be really easy, but the thing about April is that deep down underneath, she does care but she’s just hiding it. So it’s more hard to portray someone that deep down really cares but is pretending like they don’t care. There’s a nuance there that I think people don’t realize. There’s a mischievousness to this character.”

When Aubrey Plaza did relate to April Ludgate

Plaza admits that sometimes she wasn’t just acting on Parks and Recreation. The schedule of filming a weekly television series was enough to turn Plaza into a real life April sometimes.

“I would say that in some ways, it’s really easy to play an angry intern, especially if you’re hung over,” Plaza said. “You show up to work and you hate everything. Then the cameras are rolling and you still hate everything. That’s helpful sometimes if you’re really tired and it’s five in the morning and you have to go to work. Then it’s very easy to get into that character.”

Aubrey Plaza was not sarcastic about this benefit of ‘Parks and Recreation’

Plaza was completely sincere when it came to talking about her Parks and Recreation costar, Poehler. Plaza was already a fan of Poehler’s improv work with Upright Citizens Brigade and Saturday Night Live.

“She was my hero when I was a child so the fact that I got cast on Parks and Rec where I got to play opposite her was a dream come true,” Plaza said. “She taught me everything that I knew and I carry that with me in everything that I do. I haven’t performed improv on

After season 3, many fans thought Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley was done with ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’

The drama at Pivarnick’s wedding divided the Jersey Shore roommates — especially the women.

As the wedding episode aired, Farley took to Twitter to share her feelings. One tweet had many fans convinced she would not return for season 4 of the show, which wasn’t confirmed at the time.

“I am way to ride or die to see you leave,” Farley tweeted, quoting Polizzi’s tweet about the finale. “If you’re done, I’m done. There’s no Jwoww without my Snooki.”

Jenni ‘Jwoww’ Farley will be part of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 4

Farley shared the exciting news of her return to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on her website, Miss Domesticated.

“Aside from the re-launch of my site, I will be working on a few new projects that I’m very excited about,” Farley said. “YES, I will be getting ready to film another season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Despite the rumors, I’ve made the decision to stick with the show and reunite once again with my second family.”

Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley had trouble watching season 4 of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’

Farley recently posted a video on YouTube where she answered questions from Jersey Shore fans. One fan asked if Polizzi would return for season 4 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, to which Farley said she had been praying to the “tan gods above” that Polizzi would change her mind.

“We make jokes all the time about her coming back,” she said. “As ride or die as we are, I still hear that she is not coming back and that’s devastating to me.”

“I couldn’t really watch the last season,” Farley admitted. “I did catch the very end because I wanted to make sure [it] played out accurately. All I asked from producers for myself to move forward is play it how it was. Don’t edit the speech. Don’t edit reactions. Just play it as it was because I have been living through seven months of hell. And they did.”

Sadly, showing the events of Pivarnick’s wedding as they happened wasn’t enough to make Polizzi want to return.

‘JWoww’ says ‘Snooki’ won’t return because of the way ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 3 played out

For Farley, having fans get to see how Pivarnick’s wedding played out was enough for her to want to return to the show.

“I don’t think it was enough
