Man charged in hotel overdose deaths of Michigan girl, 2 brothers

AUBURN HILLS, MI – A 20-year-old man is charged in the drug overdose deaths of a teen girl and two brothers at a Southeast Michigan hotel over the summer, the Oakland Press reports.

Lorenzo Brabo, of Lake Orion, is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance causing death, according to Oakland County Jail records. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to life imprisonment.

The victims were brothers 20-year-old Caleb Kiessling and 18-year-old Kyler Kiessling, both of Rochester Hills, and a 17-year-old girl whose name hasn’t been released, the newspaper reports. They died of fentanyl overdoses on July 28 at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Auburn Hills.

Brabo was with those who died; he also overdosed that night. Police revived him with Narcan, and he was transported to a hospital, the report said.

The Kiesslings’ mother told the Oakland Press that the deadly fentanyl was disguised as Percocet.

Local teens told police Brabo was the supplier, the report said. After an investigation, Brabo was booked on Nov. 6. He was given a $1.5M cash bond and is lodged at Oakland County Jail. A probable cause conference is set for Nov. 16.
