Recreation Department Home Page | Lake County, Colorado

Following the guidance of our Director of Emergency Management, Director of Public Health and Board of County Commissioners all Lake County Recreation programs will be suspended, and facilities will be closed effective Monday, March 16th through Thursday, April 30th.

Most programs will be cancelled, although a few are only being postponed. You will be contacted by one of our program coordinators for any/all programs in which you are enrolled to discuss the options of a refund or credit. We hope to resume suspended programming in May and kickoff summer activities in June.

Staff are also coming up with lots of fun virtual activities that will be available on our Facebook page, we’ll release something new Monday-Friday with the following themes:

Mondays – Family Activity

Tuesdays – Senior Activity

Wednesday – Youth Activity

Thursday – Adult Activity

Friday – Toddler Activity

There are also lots of fun online activities that are being done nationwide by other providers which staff can direct you to – just give us a call and we’ll help find the right activity for you!

Due to the age of the Lake County website, the platform on which it operates is no longer being spported by our vendor. This means keeping pages up to date has become more difficult as we can only make one update per day. We strongly encourage you to visit our Facebook page, Activenet page, or call us in the office fot the most up to date program and facility informaiton!

You can now register online for any of our programs and activities. Click HERE to be taken to our ActiveNet registration site. Please note that only programs currently open for registration will be visible.

Please know that we do our best to ensure that someone is in the office at all times, however due to the size of our department and the multitude of programs and activities that we are responsible for we are not always in the building. If you would like to meet with us please schedule an appointment in advance to ensure that we are in the office, otherwise we are always available by phone. We look forward to seeing you at the gym, in the pool, exploring the woods, or wherever else recreation takes you in Lake County!
