Lauren causes situation with Angelina on Season 4 debut

There was little traffic on the roads during rush hour, except for the line of cars waiting to get into the PNC Bank Arts Center COVID-19 testing site.

A Sorrentino caused a situation on the Thursday, Nov. 19 Season 4 debut of MTV’s “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,”  and we’re not talking about Mike.

Lauren Sorrentino, Mike’s wife, came hard after Angelina Pivarnick after two hours of fallout  over Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Deena Cortese’s speech-gone-wrong at Angelina’s wedding in the end of Season 3.

“If you had taken the high road and said you know what, that’s a low blow, I didn’t think those jokes were funny but I’m going to talk to them in private because I don’t want to make this any bigger than it is …” said Lauren to Angelina.

Angelina countered that Lauren was never put in such a position.

Lauren said that she was. By Angelina, who brought up the uncomfortable subject that her future husband was going to jail while she was trying on her wedding dress on Season 2.

“I chose not to have a reaction because as an adult, if you’re going to put attention on something, you’re going to make it get bigger. You’re making everything be, for lack of a better word, dramatic,” Lauren said. “It’s not that dramatic.”

Lauren gave Angelina this dressing down in the backyard of Angelina’s home, and after she dressed up as Angelina earlier in the show to spook Deena and Jenni.  You can see where this is going. Well, you can see where it’s going if you’ve seen the trailers and teasers for Season 4. The cast, and family members, will later decamp in a bubble at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa in Henderson, Nevada to try and work things out.

Alas, it will be without Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who left the show after Season 3.

The first two episodes of Season 4 on Thursday were primarily the drawing of battle lines, and introducing a few new faces to the show.

Nikki Hall of “Double Shot at Love” is quarantining with DJ Pauly DelVecchio in his home in Las Vegas.

“I know her. She was on my dating show,” said  Vinny Guadagnino, who starred with Pauly   on “Double Shot. “2020 is the craziest year ever. Pauly has an actual boo.”

Deena Cortese gave Nikki some advice.

“As long as you don’t run Pauly over with your car you’re good,” Deena said.

Derynn Paige and Brittani “B-Lashes” Schwartz, both “Double Shot” alumni, also made their “JSFV” debuts. They both sat quietly while Lauren dressed down Angelina.

Zack “24” Carpinello is back in Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s life, and back in her home gym, too.

“When I needed someone, Zack was there and I really appreciated that,” said Jenni of Zack to Vinny. “I just want to be happy and move on.”

Vinny seemed more interested in working out in Jenni’s gym.

The coronavirus outbreak has affected the cast — and filming, too. No clubs and outings for these guys — it’s socially distanced get-togethers at cast members homes. Deena’s place in Jackson, and Mike and Jenni’s homes in Holmdel are the new Karma and Bamboo.

Lauren administered temperature checks before the cast came over for one visit on the second episode.

“Everything this year is weird,” said Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. “COVID just came out of nowhere and Pauly has a beard and he has a girlfriend, 2020 man. I’m single and Pauly’s taken — what else can happen?”

We’ll find out. “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” airs 8 p.m. Thursdays.
