Due to the growing public health concern about COVID-19, all Campus Recreation facilities will be closed starting March 17-April 10.  This closure includes the Fitness Center, Knowles Field House, Climbing Wall, Hunt Arena, and all programs, services, and events.

What this means for memberships:

  • Refunds will not be issued at this time.  All current memberships will be automatically extended 30 days beyond your current end date.  If limited facility access exists beyond April 10, refund policies will be reassessed.
  • All recurring members’ next deduction will be $0.01 to reflect the facility closure over the next three weeks.
  • All locker services will be extended 30 days.
  • No purchases will be accepted through at least April 10.

What you can do:

  • Practice good hygiene, wash your hands, avoid touching your face, stay home if you feel sick, and avoid large gatherings when you can.
  • Find at-home workouts. There are tons of free options online with many apps offering free trials.
  • Go outside! As long as you are practicing social distancing, it is okay to get outside and go for a walk while you listen to your favorite playlist or podcast.
  • Stay connected. Reach out to friends, call a family member – maybe even try a workout using FaceTime. We are all in this together.
  • WIN SWAG! Watch for posts of daily at-home workouts from Campus Recreation on our social media platforms. Complete the workout and be eligible for free swag give-a-ways.

Please keep in mind that this situation is constantly evolving. More information will continue to be posted at www.uwrf.edu/campusrec and on our social media outlets as it becomes available.  For more campus-wide information, please visit go.uwrf.edu/covid19.
