TWRA: Virginia woman charged with illegally feeding bear in TikTok video in Gatlinburg

Officers charged Kristin Hailee Farris, 21, with a misdemeanor violation after she fed a black bear while on vacation in Gatlinburg.

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said that a woman from Virginia was charged with a misdemeanor after she fed a black bear while on vacation in Gatlinburg.

Kristin Hailee Farris, 21 years old, from Danville, Va., was filmed intentionally hand-feeding watermelon, chocolate and other food to a black bear in Gatlinburg, according to a release from TWRA.

The video went viral on TikTok, the video-sharing and social media app, and was viewed over 500,000 times.

She has been charged with illegal black bear feeding, which can carry up to six months in jail or a $500 fine, according to a release. Officials said she will be required to return to Sevier County for booking.

“The overwhelming desire to have a close encounter with a black bear is strangely more powerful than common sense,” said Sevier County Wildlife Sgt. David Sexton. “Many people intentionally feed bears with little regard for the dire consequences to the bears and humans they leave behind.”

Reality TV star Vinny Guadagnino recently showed fans his trademark to prepare for the return of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

The Jersey Shore cast members are known for helping to make fist-pumping a part of pop culture over a decade ago as it was just one aspect of the MTV show that caught on with plenty of people.

In his new TikTok video, Vinny lets fans know the move is still here as the new season of the Jersey Shore spin-off show is on the way.

Vinny shows off the fist pump in new TikTok video

TikTok has become well known for people creating and replicating various dances in their videos. However, longtime reality TV star Vinny Guadagnino took to the social media app to show off a classic Jersey Shore move.

He posted a new video on the app with the caption “legends never die.” The video begins with Vinny staring right at the camera as another caption appears on-screen, saying, “I don’t fist pump any more…”

After making a signal as if the classic move is dead, Vinny turns and ends the joke quickly. “JK JERSEY SHORE WILL NEVER DIE” appears on screen as Vinny goes into full fist-pump mode.

Jersey Shore crew returning for Season 4

In the past week, Jersey Shore fans finally got the big news they were waiting for, with the premiere date announcement for Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 4.

Despite many TV shows, including reality TV, having their production shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, some found ways to film using a bubble location. That includes Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which filmed the first vacation for Season 4 at a bubble site – the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort in Nevada.

In using the bubble site, production was able to follow “local, state and federal COVID-19 health and safety requirements,” TMZ reported.

This season, the show also gets a new title, Jersey Shore “Bring the Family” Vacation, as cast members brought some of their extended family members with them to be part of all the fun.

Stevie Nicks joins TikTok, posts her own recreation of viral skateboarder

Stevie Nicks joined TikTok on Tuesday and did her own special recreation of a viral skateboarder.

Skateboarder Nathan Apodaca gained fame after he posted a video of himself listening to the 1977 Fleetwood Mac hit “Dreams” while he skateboards and drinks cranberry juice at the same time.

Nicks, 72, put a unique twist on the viral moment when she made her TikTok debut.

The Fleetwood Mac singer was seen lacing up a pair of roller skates while “Dreams” played in the background and a bottle of Ocean Spray cranberry juice was on the floor.

A camera then panned up to show Nicks’ face and she began to sing along to her hit.

“Afternoon vibe. Lace ’em up!” the singer captioned the video along with the hashtags “Dreams,” “FleetwoodMac” and “CranberryDreams.”

Nicks also tagged the viral skateboarder.

The “Landslide” singer isn’t the only Fleetwood Mac star to recreate Nathan’s video.

Mick Fleetwood posted his own video last Sunday.

“Dreams and Cranberry just hits different,” Fleetwood, 73, captioned the post. He also tagged the viral skateboarder.

The band’s official Twitter account reposted the viral video last month and wrote, “We love this!”
